Redrow Re-design

Our client Redrow Homes has enjoyed a best-in-class website for quite a few years now since we built their current site from the ground up.

We formulated and created, not only the consumer front-end of the site but also, a massive multi-layered CMS system giving both the development and regional employees and the head office layers of control over static content and dynamic content which then feeds out and communicates with services like RightMove etc.

The world moves on and we found ourselves in a position that while the website still function very well, the aesthetic was becoming dated. As such we began re-designing at Redrows request while maintaining the functionality, Information architecture and core framework. This obviously presents challenges but the design ethic this time round was very purist in many ways.

As you can see from the examples, the design was clean, modern and minimal. This allows the properties, locations and salient information to stand out. Graphics were also kept to a minimum and visual hierarchy was the key to the change in direction.

A highly technical project with a great sense of formal design and layout technique made this a very enjoyable project and a wonderful change.
