TBWA\ Manchester Round-up 2008

Well, it’s been a year of change, optimism and enthusiasm at TBWA\ Manchester, and as the year ends it is always good to reflect on the work you have done. Both to pat the team on the back and to galvanise enthusiasm for the coming year.

To this end my Creative Directors asked me to bring together a visual round-up of some of the work the agency has produced through 2008 by taking inspiration from a piece of motion graphics work I’d done earlier in the year. I had just over 2 days to get this together, but nevertheless, the CDs were very happy and I think it’s better than a flick through a direct mail pamflet (in my opinion anyway).

ghd Social Media Beginnings

ghd Social Media Beginnings

A few months ago I locked myself in a room for a week; researching, strategising and ended up presenting to ghd a complete overhaul of their on-site brand content strategy and a plan for how to use social media platforms to their advantage.

After a slow start, we now have a beginning by completing the first stage – Creating a presence on the chosen platforms, MySpace, Facebook & YouTube (Twitter is in the pipeline too).

Further stages obviously focus on content and content generation, but the first step has been made.

There is still a long time to go and a lot of hard work re-structuring the some of the back-end of the global site to fully implement the plan, but fingers crossed it goes smoothly and the complete vision comes to fruition.
