RAC Fleet product microsite

RAC Fleet product microsite design

A small project for RAC here. A B2B product aimed at company fleet managers required direct comm’s messaging that would sit better on a discreet microsite. It turns out that the RAC online brand guidelines are quite prescriptive to say the least, so the design is really more an issue of artworking the content into the required layouts using the elements provided. However, I did have a little freedom in the header area of the homepage.

I went out with my camera in hand to a DVD film shoot for the offline comm’s for the product in question. I took a range of shots that I later brought together in an animated story board. The scenario was a simple low impact car collision where at the point the decision had to be made about what to do, the animation stopped and gave the user the option of two endings to illustrate the real benefits and convenience of the product.

WeeWar

WeeWar

Well it’s happened again… I’m playing another online game that got it’s hooks in me. The game is called WeeWar and I’m reliably informed that it is quite similar to the board game Risk although I’ve never played it myself.

Basically you have bases and there are unoccupied bases which you can capture. You then deploy military units from these bases in an attempt to capture the bases of you enemy. Your units battle your opponents units along the way as you try to capture every base on the map to secure a victory.

It took me a little while to fully understand how to play it properly, but when I did I really enjoyed it. Sign up and challenge me to a game if you like, my username is ‘ahaydnjones’. See you on the battlefield.
