Feature In The Drum

Humdrum Idol - The Drum Review

Another feature, This time in The Drum, a UK media and marketing magazine.

“An immediately hilarious and engaging website – this is just so funny – even down to the fact that if you are diverted and don’t click your mouse for a few moments, the characters from Humdrum yell at you. This is a great example of a modern, interactive and fun website. The synergy of the campaign across the TV sponsorship of American Idol is great and the clips of people’s auditons are hilarious. This is a ‘must see’ site.”
Lisa Pallilo. Communications marketing manager, Hallmark

What a review! I’m made up with that one. Here’s to plenty more press reviews in the future eh!

Art Director: Anthony Jones

The Lowdown
“Schwan’s is backing the Chicago Town sponsorship of American Idol with a competition drawing on its “Humdrum Idol” idents, created by BDH\TBWA. Its sister agency Digerati\ has launched an online hub, Humdrumidol.com, based on the fictional town of Humdrum and the talentless characters auditioning for fame with their dire acts. The site allows users to upload their own Humdrum Idol auditions via a customised YouTube group, and set it up so that viewers can rate the auditions. The incentive to enter the competition is a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles and $1 million cash”

Nissan 350Z Microsite

Nissan Dealer customiseable microsite: 350Z

The agency I work for have for a long time serviced the European Nissan Dealer network and as such I have been involved in a great many projects for Nissan.

This project was about delivering a basic customizable microsite for new marketing new model releases at a dealer level which would be offered as part of a quarterly dealer marketing comm’s pack.

This incarnation was to give the basic information regarding the Nissan 350Z coupe and roadster models to regional and local consumers. A relatively simple concept and product, but it’s nice to do a pithy little job like this and focus a bit of time on basic layouts.

Desktop Tower Defense

Desktop Tower Defense

Oh man… Desktop Tower Defense. What a game!

Of course this is in relative terms. I’ve played it loads over the last couple of days but give it a week and it will be dust in the wind dude.

Anyhow, we’re all hooked in the office. I’ve been beaten! My current high score is 5584, but you can keep up to date on our team scores here.
