AVit Tools – Carl Kammerling

I have completed the redesign style templates for the AVit Tools product website. We didn’t have a great deal of time to go into options, wireframing, scoping, so the design process to this point had to be all-encompassing and fluid at the same time.
The brand, as it stands, is heavily male focussed with most consumers being enthusiasts and professionals. The above-the-line tone is tongue-in-cheek with a workmen style humour, so you’ll see this translated as a bold, slightly grungy/dirty, yet professional design. You’ll also see the tone carried through to the product detail page in the form of humorous tag-lines often with a double-entendre.
I’m pleased with the work when balanced against the time and budget constraints. I look forward to the build process as it has been designed to be fully standards compliant using XHTML strict and CSS.
